Island School (NY), off the coast of New London, CT. Small
school – 70 students total K-12 and they are willing to make
this a full time position.

Position open in
Stratford...
Stratford will have a
middle school PLTW position available next year. All 8th
grade students take
PLTW for two semesters. The two units we offer include
Design & Modeling and Automation & Robotics.
Certification is required to teach these classes.
Certification classes are offered during July at
University of New Haven.

Schools is seeking a Technology Education teacher at
the high school level for the 2010-2011
school year. We believe Technology Education engages
students in active, problem-based learning to
produce technologically literate citizens, while
simultaneously working to integrate and extend
knowledge across all disciplines.
We provide students with an opportunity to acquire and develop
problem-solving skills applicable to today’s rapidly
changing technological society. We offer a
comprehensive program that allows students to
understand the influences
and effects of technology on the environment.
Students will develop problem-solving skills through
applied research, design, production, operation, and
analysis of technological systems. As technology
evolves we must look forward to
the future and the needs of our students. Though
course offerings change from year to year we are
still a hands-on
project-based curriculum designed to meet and challenge all students at
all levels. Our current course offerings
include: TV Broadcasting, Graphic Communications,
Journalism, Yearbook, Woodworking, Car Care as well
as
Project Lead the Way (PLTW) courses including,
Introduction to Engineering Design, Principles of
Engineering,
Digital Electronics, Civil Engineering / Architectural, Computer
integrated Manufacturing and Engineering Design &
Development.
